Updated: Mar 23

Get ready for a next-level culinary experience! Today I bring you a traditional Kobe beef recipe that I had the opportunity to taste in Kobe and that will leave you wanting more. Kobe beef is known around the world for its deliciousness and unmatched flavor, and today I will teach you how to cook it so you can enjoy it as if you were in Japan. Let's go there!

The first thing you should keep in mind is that Kobe beef is unique and is characterized by the marbled fat that gives it that special flavor and texture. So make sure you get a good cut of Kobe beef for this recipe. Once you have the meat, it's time to start cooking.

For this recipe, we are going to prepare some delicious Kobe cubes with vegetables and teriyaki sauce. This combination will make your mouth water, so get ready for a feast of flavors!

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of Kobe beef, diced

  • 1 red pepper, cut into pieces

  • 1 green pepper, cut into pieces

  • 1 onion, cut into pieces

  • 1 carrot, sliced

  • 1 piece of ginger

  • 1/4 cup sake

  • 1/4 cup of beer

  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Olive oil

Steps:

  1. In a pot, place the piece of ginger, sake, beer and teriyaki sauce. Let the sauce reduce over medium heat. Once reduced, remove the ginger and reserve the sauce.

  2. Meanwhile, season the Kobe beef cubes with salt and pepper to taste. You can add other seasonings of your choice if you wish. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat with a little olive oil.

  3. Add the Kobe beef cubes to the hot pan and cook for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown on all sides. Kobe beef cooks quickly due to its high quality and marbling of fat, so be sure not to overcook it to maintain its juiciness.

  4. Once the meat is browned, add the peppers, onion and carrot to the pan. Cook the vegetables until they are tender but still crisp. It is important not to overcook them to maintain their freshness and flavor.

  5. Once the vegetables are ready, pour the reduced teriyaki sauce over the meat and vegetables in the pan. Stir well so that all the ingredients are impregnated with the delicious flavor of the sauce.

  6. Cook for a couple more minutes so the flavors blend and the Kobe beef finishes cooking. Remember to keep the meat juicy and tender, avoiding overcooking it.

And ready! Now you have some Kobe beef cubes with vegetables and teriyaki sauce worthy of a real feast. Serve this delicacy on a plate accompanied by white rice or noodles, and you will have a luxury meal to enjoy at home. Don't forget to pair this delicious meat with a good red wine or a cold beer to enhance the flavors even more.

Remember that Kobe beef is a true gastronomic luxury, so take this opportunity to savor it and enjoy it to the fullest. Enjoy!
